This Western Canadian-based retailer, with stores across B.C. and Alberta, is expanding! They are experts at finding brand-name items through reverse logistics and other purchasing channels to sell quality products to customers at heavily discounted prices. They are seeking a Retail Store Manager for one of their Lower Mainland locations to oversee the daily operations of a large format location, ensuring efficient management, excellent customer service, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a passion for merchandising, team leadership, and a proven track record of driving sales and achieving operational excellence.

DESCRIPTION

Manage day-to-day operations of the store, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management.

Recruit, train, and supervise store staff to ensure excellence in customer service and product knowledge.

Drive sales performance through effective merchandising, promotional activities, and customer engagement strategies.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans accordingly.

Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive store environment that reflects the brand's image and values.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.

Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, communication, and employee development.

REQUIREMENTS

At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a big-box store manager in the retail industry.

Passionate about customer service and act as a role model for your team.

Has a proven track of meeting and exceeding the sales budget while controlling your expenses.

Exceptional communication skills and can easily connect with colleagues and customers.

You can juggle tasks! You're an expert at mastering time, tasks, and priorities in a dynamic environment.

A problem solver with exceptional analytical skills and a proven ability to maintain calm under pressure.

Experience in hiring, onboarding, training, developing, coaching, and disciplining to dismissal.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Professional certifications including First Aid are an asset.
