Job Description:
Chesterfield County School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team for the 20242025 academic year. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting students academic, emotional, and social development through assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators, families, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to identify students strengths and needs
Provide direct and indirect counseling and intervention services
Support development and implementation of IEPs and behavior plans
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote a positive school climate
Participate in crisis intervention and response
Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications:
Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
Valid South Carolina certification as a School Psychologist
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Experience in school settings preferred
