***Cook/Prepcook's Job Requirements***
We are looking for an ambitious Prep Cook to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
A great prep cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.
Responsibilities
• Prepare work stations and ingredients for chefs according to instructions
• Maintain a clean kitchen space for other kitchen staff
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature
• Prepare simple items including salads, sauces, some entrees
• Comply with kitchen health and sanitation guidelines
• Measure, wash, peel and prepare ingredients
• Cut and portion different types of meat
• Portion the food and prepare the dishes for plating
• Package take-away food for clients
• Distribute the plates to be served to the waiting staff
• Accept or reject ingredients from food suppliers
• Keep track of ingredient inventory
• Clean and sanitize the working surfaces, tools, utensils and working area

• Food handler or Safety Food Management Certificate requested
• Knowledge about Asian cuisine is a plus
