JOB DESCRIPTION
General Purpose:
Property Management and Leasing company seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who will be responsible for the processing of all invoices and payments for multiple entities. The successful candidate should have 3-5 years of accounts payable experience, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and provide good customer service to its tenants, vendors, and owners.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Review and verify invoices, check requests, and expense reports
• Enter invoices into Timberline AP system
• Prepare and perform check runs/automatic payments
• Mail checks after they have been signed
• File all check copies and invoices in vendor folders
• Obtain W-9’s from new vendors
• Review/maintain daily cash balances
• Research/resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
• Maintain vendor files
• Form 1099 preparation
• Assist with month and year end closing and provide documentation for audits
• Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
• Knowledge of Timberline or similar accounting software is preferred
• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounting procedures
• Proficient in data entry
• Good communication and writing skills
