Job Description

· Work with Clinical Director to provide support and supervision for Residential House Managers, ensuring that procedures for clinical documentation and charting are followed, CARF standards are met, and program outcomes are maximized through adequately trained staff, quality clinical care, and satisfied clients.

· Meets regularly with Residential House Managers to provide supervision, ensuring that programs are well managed and meeting their financial, program, and outcome goals.

· Works closely with Residential House managers, Clinical Director, and HR to recruit, interview, hire, and maintain residential program staff.

· Works closely with Residential House Managers and Clinical Director, to oversee performance of residential program staff, providing professional guidance, staff counseling forms when necessary, and assistance with decisions around promotion/termination of staff when needed.

· Assist Residential House Managers with achieving and maintaining full bed utilization with appropriate clients at all times.

· Conducts annual evaluations on assigned staff, that include a performance evaluation and goals for the next evaluation period.

· Develops and monitors Supervision Plans for assigned staff and maintains the Supervision Logs for review.

· Serves as an active liaison between management and the residential program staff ensuring that the needs, goals, and objectives of each program and its staff are shared.

Requirements

· Prefer Master’s degree or BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in human services field.

· Minimum of 4 years of administrative and supervision experience in counseling, health care management, substance abuse and mental health services with director supervisory experience.

· Knowledge of community resources and advocacy services.

· Knowledge of the socio-cultural characteristics of the services population.

· Be able to exercise situational leadership skills ranging from task management to strategic leadership.

· Knowledge of NC Division of MHDDSAS service definitions, requirements and compliance rules and regulations.
