MicroHealth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer with a passion for creating robust, scalable software solutions. You’re very handy with cloud-native AWS environments, and you’re no stranger to Healthcare EDI. You would be joining an existing team that is comfortable working together and you are ready to come and help us build an exciting new platform and suite of new products. You’ll get to be involved in everything from giving design feedback to planning and execution and growing our high-quality code base. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services from the ground up in a new platform and suite of products while providing technical leadership.
Offer engineering design solutions and input while collaborating with the team.
Participate in an agile development cycle that supports successful engineering goals.
Comfortable with code reviews and contributing to team best practices to help ensure delivery production quality code.
Ability to optimize application performance and scalability.
Some ability to mentor junior developers Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
5+ years of professional experience in Java development
Strong proficiency in Java 17 and core Java concepts
Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud)
Familiarity with Hibernate ORM framework
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Experience with RESTful web services and API design
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
Experience with Maven
Experience with Git
Must be comfortable working in an agile environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare IT or related industries
Healthcare EDI experience very helpful
Knowledge of microservices architecture
Familiarity with AWS cloud platform
Experience with Docker containerization technologies
Knowledge of Angular front-end technology
