Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. Program Description:Goddard Riverside invests in people & strengthens community, serving more than 20,000 people throughout New York City with a variety of programs for all ages. We work within a social justice framework to create a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families. Goddard is a partner within the Manhattan Outreach Consortium (MOC) a borough-wide initiative to serve the unsheltered community. MOC collaborates with various community partners and healthcare agencies throughout Manhattan.
Position Summary:Provide direction, support and supervision to the Evening, Night and Weekend Outreach and Dispatch staff. The Program Director is responsible for overall program quality and performance as well as staff development, evaluation, and oversight. The Night, Evening, and Weekend team canvasses Upper and Lower Manhattan engaging and assessing street homeless individuals as well as responding to 311 calls, transports for intakes and special assignments as needed.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 9am-5pm, with flexibility working alternate shifts as needed to facilitate operations of the 24-hour, 7 day per week program
Salary Range: $72,000 - $75,000
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties
Role, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties
Oversee the day-to-day operations and administration of the program, comprised of Outreach staff (includes full, part-time and per diem employees) weekend supervisors, evening and overnight supervisor,
Provide direct and consistent supervision to the Team Supervisors ensuring that they are spending adequate time in the field with staff
Manage both union and non-union employees following agency and collective bargaining agreement policies and procedures and complete introductory and annual evaluations for employees.
Manage NWT payroll approvals
Review vehicle GPS, case note entries, call logs, and shift reports etc.
Oversee any disciplinary processes for staff in program
Go out with outreach teams on shift as needed and to monitor services rendered in the field
Lead team meetings, as well as provide communications and updates
Oversee maintenance of office space, requesting facilities and IT support where necessary
Attend monthly Manhattan Outreach Consortium program wide meetings as needed
Manage Code Blue and Code Red team assignments and follow up
Ensure quality and integrity of services and program
On-call responsibilities and oversight of on-call scheduling/rotation
Other duties as needed
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with experience required. A candidate without a bachelor’s degree may be considered with extensive supervisory experience.
Experience with unsheltered community, mental health and/or substance use disorders required.
Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the agency’s auto insurance.
Master’s degree in social work or related field preferred.

Flexible schedule needed: evening, overnight and weekend hours
Ability to participate in four overnight quarterly counts per year
Frequent walking and standing
Occasional lifting, up to 30 lbs.
