CHEP is a global leader in supply chain logistics, employing more than 14,000 people in 60+ countries. We are hiring for a Warehouse Forklift Sorter at our Longview, TX location.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
Weekend Shift: Friday to Sunday 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM $16.75 h/r
What does a typical day look like working as a Warehouse Forklift Sorter:
Working in a non-temp controlled warehouse wearing steel toe boots.
Sorting pallets to grade while ensuring all trash and debris are removed from pallets.
Moving stacks of pallets throughout the warehouse.
Loading and Unlaoding trailers with Sit Down Forklfit
Meeting daily/ weekly production requirements.
Lifting to 70 lbs. regularly
Having the attention to detail, commitment to quality, and the observance of all safety rules and regulations.
What does CHEP look for in a Warehouse Forklift Sorter?
Candidate with previous experience completing heavy lifting in earlier roles with hand-eye coordination and endurance.
Someone who has worked to complete daily and weekly production quotas
Candidate with excellent communication skills.
Candidates who are safety conscious.
What are the REQUIRED skills for the role?
2+ years of previous experience working in an industrial, fast-moving setting with industrial machinery
2+ years of experience operating a Sit Down Forklift
The ability to safely move, lift, or carry items weighing 60–80 lbs throughout the shift.
