JOB DETAILS
Location: Clinton, New York
Employment Type: Full-time, hourly
Pay Range: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of a diverse range of heavy-duty equipment and medium- and
light-duty trucks, including excavators, dump trucks, crash trucks, bucket trucks, digger derricks, pickup trucks,
cranes, aerial lifts, forklifts, and more.
Diagnose failures and promptly disassemble, repair, and reassemble fleet equipment and vehicles.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules and repairs, order replacement parts, and manage
inventory.
Collaborate with the field construction team to schedule maintenance and repairs.
Implement modifications and improvements to fleet equipment and vehicles.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
WHAT YOULL NEED
At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in preventative maintenance and repair, preferably gained in a
construction setting.
Mechanical knowledge of gas and diesel repair, internal combustible engines, and preventative maintenance,
which includes regular inspections, oil change and tire rotation, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments to
prevent equipment failure and ensure efficient operation.
Experience with hydraulic and air brake systems
Your own basic hand tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers. Diagnostic, ergonomic, and
high-tech equipment will be provided.
Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Ability to perform physical movements, including lifting (50 pounds or more), pinching, bending, reaching,
climbing, and manipulating and handling objects (with or without an accommodation).
A valid NYS driver's license.
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
Possessing a Class A or B CDL, or the ability to obtain one, offers a distinct advantage.
Technical certification or a diploma obtained through a 2-year post-secondary program.
An understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and emissions systems.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication skills to interact with team members and accurately document work.
Ability to use and interpret diagnostic equipment and computerized tools.
Working with manufacturing standards (e.g., diagnostic equipment and computerized tools, knowing current
standards, staying up-to-date with the latest technology, etc.)
