Job Description

Job Duties:

Performing preventative maintenance of refuse or heavy-duty vehicles such as:

Oil Changes

Tire Replacements

Light Bulb Replacements

Wiper blade Replacements

Lubrication

Safety Checks

Battery Checks

Changing fluid and filters for transmission, coolant and hydraulic systems

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of eighth grade plus 3 years of experience in mechanical repair work utilizing the required knowledge, skills and abilities and associated with such positions as Line Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, Heavy Duty Mechanic or Construction Mechanic; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. MUST HAVE OR OBTAIN A CURRENT AND VALID VIRGINIA OR NORTH CAROLINA DRIVER'S LICENSE IN ACCORDANCE WITH VIRGINIA OR NORTH CAROLINA DRIVER'S LICENSE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMETNS.
