GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

Location: Vineyard, UT, or West Valley, UT

Salary Range: $100,000–$130,000+

A top provider of Geotechnical Engineering is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a passion for soil analysis, field investigations, and team leadership to join their Utah team. Key Responsibilities

Oversee geotechnical exploration programs and field investigations.

Perform soil and ground analyses and lead technical reporting.

Manage a team of 10+ engineers and technical staff.

Maintain and develop strong client relationships.

Provide technical guidance to field inspection teams.

Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Conduct geotechnical calculations and data analysis.

Prepare and review technical reports for clients and stakeholders.

Apply innovative engineering solutions to solve complex soil and foundation challenges.

Develop and execute marketing strategies to expand client base.

Leverage an existing client/revenue base (preferred).

Required Skills & Qualifications

Professional Engineering (PE) License – Utah (Required)

10+ years of Geotechnical Engineering experience (soil analysis, field investigations)

Experience managing teams of 10+ engineers

Proficiency in soil mechanics and geotechnical/material testing

Strong technical report writing and data analysis skills

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred)

Proficiency with geotechnical industry software

Project management experience with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Experience

Experience mentoring or training junior engineers

Proven ability to develop new business opportunities

Strong industry network within Utah's geotechnical sector
