Our defense and aerospace client near Chicago's O'Hare Airport is hiring a Quality Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer
Conduct internal quality and ITAR compliance audits
Facilitate the PSW documentation
Assist with the documentation of the PFMEA's and Quality Plans
Facilitate AS9100, 8D, 5 Whys, 4M, ISIR, etc. documentation
Facilitate Material Review Board team audits
Be instrumental in the use and application of metrology
Oversee inspection functions and be involved with product launches, changes and corrective actions
Requirements of the Quality Engineer
Bachelor's degree in engineering is strongly preferred but not required
Five or more years in quality in a metal forming environment including understanding quality specific to metal, defense and aerospace CNC machined components
A background with aerospace or defense contracting cold heading, hot heading, roll forming, gear hobbing, gear shaping, gear planing or metal stamping is a plus
Use MS Office including Excel and Word
ITAR compliance requires that our client's employees hold a US Green Card or are a US Citizen
Some limited travel may be required including for supplier audits

Compensation for the Quality Engineer
The annual starting salary for this position ranges from $75,000 per year to $85,000 per year
