Purchasing and Materials Supervisor

Job Description

Company is looking to hire a junior Purchasing and Materials Supervisor. This role requires tasks and responsibilities in all aspects of supply-side operations for an electronics manufacturer, including: supplier and factory interaction, forecasting/scheduling/ordering, inventory management, and other tasks as part of a team.

Inventory Control responsibilities:

Develop and execute inventory control procedures and best practices

Coordinate and manage periodic physical inventory cycle counting efforts

Identify, track, and find origin of material discrepancies

Purchasing responsibilities:

Forecast material needs and react to urgent requirements

Schedule and track orders and ensure timely delivery

Monitor and expedite work order shortages

Investigate and correct work order discrepancies

Manage and maintain accurate records

Monitor and adjust safety stock levels to support production goals

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree.

Inventory training or technical certification a plus.

Minimum 1 to 3 years experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures.

Product receiving experience a plus.

Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.

Solid understanding of manufacturing and/or distribution environments.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
