Description
The retail locations at Midwest Connect serve as a resource and hub for customers needing assistance with any aspect of mailing. As a part of our Kearney location, this Retail / Mail Processor will assist with any of the following: processing mail, completing customer requests, and driving designated routes (as needed).
Responsibilities:
Greeting and assisting customers with their needs by delivering excellent customer service
Completing front counter sales and processing payment transactions
Sorting and processing customer mail, both incoming and outgoing
Preparing mail to be delivered by route drivers and/or to the post office
Receiving, sorting, and processing customer packages for shipping, including packing, lifting, weighing, and labeling
Operating general office equipment, including but not limited to: copiers, printers, address printers, tabbing machines, document folders, document inserting, and postage meters
Traveling a directed route to deliver and/or collect mail from customers as needed
Assisting with end of day paperwork, reports, and other administrative duties as needed
Maintaining a clean and organized work environment through routine housekeeping
Working closely with the team to complete any and all tasks involved in mailing and sorting
Ideal Qualifications:
Good communication skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Must be team-oriented
Ability to use analytical skills for problem-solving and taking initiative
Requirements:
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Adhere to the company dress code (e.g. company apparel, professional appearance)
Valid Driver’s License
