Summary

Tague Lumber seeks a skilled Human Resources professional to lead our HR initiatives, support employee development, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate their ability to provide strategic and technical leadership in Human Resources.

Duties and Responsibilities

Human Resources Department Leadership

· Develop and execute strategic plans for the Human Resources Department.

· Oversee all HR activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

· Create, review, and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.

· Establish and maintain accurate department records.

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

· Manage the full-cycle recruitment process to attract qualified candidates.

· Coordinate pre-employment background checks and drug testing programs.

· Conduct orientation and onboarding sessions to effectively integrate new employees.

Performance Management and Employee Development

· Provide training and coaching to managers on employee performance monitoring and documentation.

· Support managers with employee relations, counseling, and conflict resolution.

Compensation and Benefits Administration

· Assess and enhance employee benefits programs, recommending and implementing improvements.

· Manage benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, COBRA, and ACA compliance.

· Oversee workers' compensation claims and related processes.

Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management

· Collaborate with the VP of Operations on training initiatives, workers' compensation, vehicle accidents, and DOT compliance.

· Participate in Captive Insurance Programs, including attendance at semi-annual meetings.

· Administer the Random Drug Testing program.

PM21Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

· 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities.

· Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.

· Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

· Knowledge of benefits administration, workers' compensation, and compliance regulations.

· Strong understanding of employment laws, OSHA, DOT regulations, and OSHA compliance.

· Familiarity with benefits programs, COBRA, ACA, and HRIS systems.

· Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to travel to Tague locations
