CT Polymers is hiring a Maintenance Manager! In this role the Maintenance Manager will encompass a hands on approach and be responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing routine preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, and emergent maintenance as well as troubleshooting issues as they arise with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment all while developing a preventive maintenance program and culture.

Responsibilities will included, but not be limited to:

Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery

Repair machinery throughout the plant, including forklifts

Trouble shoot and repair Electrical, mechanical, and PLC drives as needed on equipment.

Schedule and prioritize maintenance needs to ensure coverage for unexpected breakdowns and to maximize department efficiency

Work with Plant Leadership to establish maintenance standards, procedures, and programs to ensure efficient operations

Design and implement reactive maintenance log to capture real costs associated with the maintenance of equipment

Observe manufacturing process to propose and develop ways to implement automation and increase production efficiency

Coordinate and direct manufacturing team members to achieve efficient completion of repairs and preventative maintenance

Evaluate skills and abilities of production team to cross train and develop basic PM program through the shop floor

Project management of capital purchases and process improvements; including the automation of processes

Maintain budget while inventorying parts and ordering replacement parts for equipment

Develop an inventory management strategy for the maintenance crib

Develop 5S practices to implement a visual environment

Purchasing repair parts and maintaining inventory of tools

Works with vendors to secure estimates and cost quotes as needed

Identify, develop, and implement safety initiatives in support of business needs

Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

5+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience

Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical aptitude

PLC capabilities strongly preferred

Experience working within OSHA safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE

Strong computer skills; working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office

Proven work habits focusing on safety and productivity

Developed reasoning/problem solving skills

Excellent accountability and follow-through skills

Strong tact and diplomacy; ability to work effectively with staff on all levels

Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Value Propositions is preferred

A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities

Self-motivated to work independently in a busy environment with changing priorities and the ability to adapt

Ability to demonstrate high performance leadership standards and build/develop high-performance teams

Proven change management and conflict resolution skills to ensure effective implementation of new processes

Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
