This company, a growing, profitable developer of high-end consumer products, is looking for a Manager – Hardware Engineering to oversee the board-level development of electronics related to IoT, wireless, and other related technologies.

Position Description
In this position, you’ll lead a team of hardware engineers with a focus on high-speed digital interfaces, communication technologies, system level integration, analog power systems, illumination, sensors (gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity detection) and motor controls. You’ll also be called upon to use your expertise in PCB-level electronics to make key technical decisions and be a key interface to suppliers. You’ll help communicate the company’s shared vision on scaled electronics systems and build development plans around program timelines.
This includes:
Defining structured best practices for new product development
Takin charge of the team’s development and coaching, along with project escalation within electronic hardware.
Conducting design reviews, developing verification specifications, and collaborating with mechanical and firmware teams.
Making sure programs are adequately resources and the team is training in standard methodologies, tools, and processes.
Overseeing hardware development projects through the full life cycle, including ideation, project timing, schematic design, board layout, prototype builds, testing, and production launch.
Qualifications
BSEE with 8+ years of experience in electronic hardware engineering at the board/PCB level (analog and digital).
2+ years of experience in management of a hardware development team.
Strong background in electro-mechanical controls and IoT for consumer products.
Good understanding of sensors, networks (UART, I2C, SPI, WiFi, etc.), CAD software (Altium preferred), and lab equipment (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators).
Some experience in low-level embedded software/firmware is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, with the proven ability to deliver on fast-moving projects.
Compensation:
$160-190K base salary, with bonus and full benefits.
