Typical Responsibilities
Oversee activities from concept to PPAP, ensuring parts meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements through collaboration with packaging, transportation, business resources, supply chain, and other functional areas.
Leverage Teamcenter and workflow tools to collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Development Engineers, identifying supplier sources for each Buy level part.
Escalate supplier quality defects to Supplier Development Engineers (SDEs) for immediate containment.
Implement supply strategies aligned with category management to develop, optimize, and integrate a world-class supply network.
Manage quality feedback loops to ensure lessons learned from quality defects are applied across the supply base.
Drive cost modeling, design for manufacturability, and leverage supplier capabilities to enhance value.
Candidate Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred. Degrees in Mechanical, Industrial, or Supply Chain Engineering are accepted.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and computer-generated reports.
Experience with 3D modeling or Creo.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with Teamcenter, Six Sigma Processes, and Should Cost Analysis.
