A leading financial services firm in Bozeman with a national reach is looking for a Corporate Controller to join their team. In this role, you’ll manage the day-to-day accounting operations of a multi-entity organization, reporting directly to the VP of Finance. They’re seeking a candidate with prior experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller—someone who understands how to consolidate financials and deliver meaningful insights to senior leadership. You’ll also assist the VP of Finance with budgeting, forecasting, and building financial models.

What You'll Actually Do:

Manage the monthly close process, ensuring accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and proper transaction coding for reliable financial reporting.

Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including revenue, receivables, expenses, payables, cash management, and banking activities.

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and performance metrics across departments, identifying key trends and opportunities for improvement.

Monitor and forecast company cash flow to support strategic decision-making and financial health.

Partner with the VP of Finance on annual budgeting, forecasting, and broader strategic financial initiatives.

Serve as the organization’s financial expert, collaborating cross-functionally to build financial literacy and provide actionable insights company-wide.

Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory requirements; coordinate with auditors and advisors for filings and audits.

Administer and optimize NetSuite accounting software, ensure internal controls are effective, and support ongoing process improvement projects.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

Prior experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller

Strong background in preparing and managing consolidated financials

CPA or CMA designation preferred, but not required

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

Proven ability to analyze and improve processes for greater efficiency

Advanced proficiency in Excel

Where and How Much:

Target Compensation $100-120K

Hybrid work schedule (3 days in office)
