Be a part of restarting Unit 1 at the Crane Clean Energy Center (formerly TMI). 3+ year contract assignment. Compensation $75-95/hr, per diem of $175/day.

The Design Engineering Liaison will serve as both a technical interpreter and relationship builder, serving as the key connection between this design engineering team and the plant’s project and field teams. This individual leads efforts to ensure engineering deliverables are clearly understood, constructible, and responsive to on-site conditions, while also fostering strong relationships and high team morale.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.

5+ years working with commercial nuclear design engineering projects.

Strong problem solving ability and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Demonstrated abilities to build relationships and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Lead interpretation and clarification of complex engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring design intent is clearly communicated to field personnel and client stakeholders.

Act as the face of the design team to the nuclear client, building trust through responsiveness, professionalism, and consistent follow-through.

Motivate and guide a team of designers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Proactively identify and help resolve constructability challenges, coordinating with both the client and design team to drive safe, compliant, and efficient execution.

Support and manage the flow of technical communication, including RFIs, FCRs, and design revisions, ensuring timely responses that align with nuclear regulatory and quality requirements.

Participate in field walkdowns, planning meetings, and client interactions as the design team’s lead representative.

Promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork across disciplines.
