Computer Aided Design Operator

Duration: 12 months

Note: Hybrid, 3 days/week in office

Job Description:

Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents.

Reviews engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others.

Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Responsibilities:

This position is specific to Autodesk Inventor and Vault users that have 5-10 years experience working in each program.

This assignment will be responsible for building 3D substation models utilizing standard assemblies pre-populated in Vault.

There will be no time to train each candidate in how to use Inventor and Vault, so it's crucial that the successful candidate has the required experience level stated previously.

Education:

High School Diploma/GED

May require an associate's degree in a related area and 5-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
