Position Overview
This is a full-time role for an Application Support Engineer at RogueHire. The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical and analytical support, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining effective communication with clients. Daily tasks will involve addressing application-related queries, resolving technical issues, and ensuring smooth operation of software applications.
What You’ll Do
Monitor and support daily client file loads into our system
Investigate failed loads or data issues, triage root causes, and resolve where possible
Work closely with engineering teams to escalate complex bugs or system problems
Maintain issue tracking through tools like Jira, Sales Force, or internal systems
Communicate with internal stakeholders and occasionally clients to ensure clarity and resolution
Suggest and implement small fixes or scripts (if capable) to streamline common support workflows
Document known issues and help maintain internal runbooks and playbooks
What We’re Looking For
1-3 years of experience in a technical support, application support, or production support role
Familiarity with file formats (CSV, JSON, XML), file validation, and data processing
Comfortable reading logs, investigating issues using basic SQL, or scripting (Python or shell)
Experience with ticketing systems like Jira, Salesforce or similar
Clear communicator with an organized, systems-thinking approach to problem-solving
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Bonus: Experience working with ETL pipelines, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.), or APIs
Nice-to-Haves
Experience working in a client-facing support or onboarding environment
Exposure to data warehousing, batch processing, or integration tools
Comfort participating in on-call rotations or scheduled release windows
