About DramaBox:
DramaBox is reshaping entertainment for the vertical screen generation. With bite-sized, binge-worthy dramas tailored for mobile-first audiences, we’re building a new kind of storytelling brand—one that blends classic emotional arcs with cutting-edge format innovation. As we expand our presence in the U.S. market, we’re looking for community-savvy, genre-loving talent to help us spark fandoms, amplify voices, and grow our cultural footprint.
About the Role:
We’re seeking a well-connected and charismatic Local Social Media & Events Manager to join our growing team. This role lives at the intersection of audience engagement, publicity, and creator collaboration. You’ll be our on-the-ground connector—building buzz around our shows, nurturing a vibrant fan community, and driving local activations that bring DramaBox to life, both online and IRL.
Ideal candidates have experience in entertainment publicity, creator/talent relations, live event coordination, and digital campaign support. You’re a natural people person with strong industry instincts, a finger on the pulse of fandom and pop culture, and a passion for vertical storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Building & Fan Engagement
Cultivate local and digital fanbases through activations like pop-ups, screenings, watch parties, campus events, and creator meetups.
Identify grassroots opportunities that build hype, loyalty, and user-generated momentum.
Digital & Campaign Support
Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to amplify releases, promos, and tentpole campaigns across platforms.
Contribute creative ideas that merge content strategy with in-person marketing efforts.
Talent Communication & Public-Facing Support
Act as the point person for talent and creator-facing opportunities.
Coordinate appearances, on-site interactions, interviews, and social content.
Prepare press briefs and talking points to ensure alignment with brand voice.
Make cast and creators feel supported and confident during events, press, and content captures.
Press & Media Relations
Maintain media contact lists and industry relationships.
Pitch stories, secure press coverage, and support the creation of press kits and EPKs.
Liaise with journalists, influencers, and content creators across vertical drama, TV, streaming, webnovels, and BookTok spaces.
Event Planning & Execution
Lead logistics for local activations: venue scouting, vendor coordination, RSVPs, live social coverage, and post-event follow-up.
Support press junkets, premieres, creator Q&As, and media days.
Messaging Oversight & Brand Safety
Monitor public-facing communication from talent and creators to ensure consistency and appropriateness.
Proactively flag messaging risks and help shape narrative strategy across platforms.
Performance Tracking & Internal Sync
Track media mentions, event impact, and audience sentiment.
Share insights and recaps with cross-functional teams to refine future activations.
Work closely with development, social, production, and marketing to ensure campaign cohesion.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in entertainment publicity, events, digital marketing, or community/talent management
Strong network in film, TV, publishing, or digital storytelling spaces—especially in fandom-driven genres
Experience coordinating events, managing appearances, and working directly with talent
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to juggle multiple timelines and deliverables
Collaborative, adaptive, and unflappable in high-energy environments
Deep familiarity with vertical short dramas, BookTok trends, fandom culture, or romance/genre IPs is a major plus
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience supporting short-form video formats or working with influencer-driven campaigns
Background in creator marketing, live fan events, or digital/IRL activations
Fluent in a second language (Spanish or Mandarin preferred)
Comfortable in front of and behind the camera when needed for event coverage or creator collabs
