Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Application Development Engineer with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in analyzing, developing, and maintaining software applications within a mainframe environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in PL/1 or COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS, and OPC Scheduling, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using PL/1 or COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.

Understand and improve existing software systems through detailed analysis.

Identify process gaps or inefficiencies, particularly in lower BUAT environments.

Develop software solutions aligned with project timelines and business requirements.

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of job scheduling processes.

Provide independent and collaborative input within a team-oriented environment.

Ensure quality and accountability across all development deliverables.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in PL/1 or COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS

Experience with OPC Scheduling

Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with MQ

Experience using Rational Developer for z Systems (RDz)
