A Talascend client in Indianapolis, IN is hiring multiple Control Systems Engineers and Control Software Engineers at the mid and senior levels to support the development of safety-critical aerospace control systems. These are direct hire, permanent positions that offer competitive compensation and relocation assistance.

Control Systems Engineers – Key Responsibilities
Elicit, define, and validate control system requirements based on customer needs.
Decompose system-level requirements into electronics, software, and hardware requirements.
Perform hardware-software integration and system-level testing from simulations through flight tests.
Ensure compliance with ARP4754A and airworthiness requirements.
Generate lifecycle data to support certification and regulatory compliance.
Control Software Engineers – Key Responsibilities
Develop high- and low-level software requirements and design from system-level inputs.
Implement designs in code and perform module and integration testing.
Support hardware/software integration and full system testing, including flight tests.
Ensure compliance with DO-178C and airworthiness standards.
Generate complete lifecycle data to demonstrate certification compliance.
Common Responsibilities
Develop systems and software in compliance with ARP4754A, DO-178C, military standards, and customer objectives.
Build and test components using CI/CD frameworks.
Collaborate with airworthiness and certification authorities.
Continuously improve engineering processes to support compliance and delivery objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
2–10 years of experience in control system or software engineering (development or test)
U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
5–15 years of experience in embedded, safety-critical systems or software.
Familiarity with gas turbine engine control.
Experience with model-based design tools (e.g., Matlab/Simulink, Cameo Systems Modeler).
FAA or military system certification experience.
Experience in system/software integration, component-level and system-level testing.
Familiarity with programming languages (ADA, Python, C, C++).
Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
Master’s degree with relevant experience, OR
