Kubernetes Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Kubernetes Systems Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Orlando, Florida.

Duties:

Work closely with application and technology teams from across the company

Monitor the end-to-end digital and physical guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives

Report to the Manager, Systems Engineering

Desired Skills/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

5+ years of related work experience within Kubernetes

Certifications in AWS, Azure, VMware, Kubernetes

Technical experience in consumer and employee facing enterprise systems

Ability to troubleshoot applications and systems

Expertise in maintaining web, caching, and queuing technologies in large high traffic environments

Expertise in architecting highly scalable and highly available systems

Expertise in a public cloud such as: AWS, Azure, GCP

Proficiency with containerization

Proficiency in a programming language such as: Powershell, Python, Ruby, etc.

Proficiency with distributed version control systems with Continuous Integration/Deployment techniques

Proficiency supporting SQL & Oracle technologies

Comfortable working in an agile environment

Proficiency in Kubernetes & Rancher, VMWare, DevSecOps, and Automation, with a proactive demeanor towards continuous learning and skill development, and an interest in mastering emerging data engineering tools and methodologies

RedHat OpenShift experience preferred

Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
