Project Estimator

Must Haves

Prior experience as an estimator in construction – either as CM or GC (preferred) or in construction trades (such as MEP) – no less than 5 years experience

Prior experience with the following:

o Preparing bid lists

o Issuing bid packages for all disciplines including detailed scopes of work

o Negotiating subcontracts

o Preparing construction estimates and order of magnitude budgets

Skilled in communication, presentation, analyzing, and organizing.

Nice to Have

Degree in Engineering (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering)

Experience utilizing on-screen takeoff software

Position Responsibilities

Prepare bid lists

Issue bid packages for all disciplines including detailed scopes of work

Utilize on-screen takeoff software

Maintain and update directory of suppliers and subcontractors

Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontracts

Prepare construction estimates and order of magnitude budgets

Develop value engineering concepts with estimated cost savings

Target Pay: $120,000 to $130,000 annually (with profit-sharing bonuses)
