Software Developer/ Test Automation Engineer
Location: Cupertino, CA Onsite (Factory Environment)
Duration: 12 months
Location: Bill Rate: $60/hr.- $65/hr. on W-2
Note: This position is only available to candidates who do not require sponsorship. The candidate must work on W-2 only; no C-2-C or third-party candidates are permitted. There are no employer involvements.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Software Developer with strong QA Automation experience, particularly in Python, to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring a developer mindset to quality assurance, driving automation strategies and developing testable software across services and applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using Python
Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to implement robust test coverage
Develop automated tests for API, backend systems, and UI components
Participate in code reviews, agile sprints, and software delivery pipelines
Troubleshoot test failures and report software defects with detailed documentation
Support CI/CD integration and continuous testing practices
Contribute to QA strategy, tools, and process improvements
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on experience with Python programming
4+ years of experience in QA automation (API, UI, integration testing)
Expertise in test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Selenium, Robot Framework)
Experience with REST API testing, JSON, Postman, or similar tools
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.)
Proficient in Git, Agile/Scrum environments, and test case management systems
Strong debugging and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience testing cloud-native applications (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized testing
Knowledge of performance testing (Locust, JMeter, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
