IT Infrastructure Manager

Seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure Manager with a proven blend of strong leadership skills and deep technical knowledge to lead a team of 6 System Administrators.
This role is crucial to maintaining and evolving IT infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem.
Looking for someone who is both a hands-on strategist and a proactive project driver, able to independently handle decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
Manage, mentor, and support a team of 6 System Administrators.
Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture.
Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training opportunities.
Project & Infrastructure Management
Lead infrastructure-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Drive planning and execution of strategic initiatives such as server upgrades, cloud adoption, and DR implementation.
Act as the primary escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents.
Cloud Services & Microsoft 365
Lead ongoing adoption, support, and optimization of Microsoft cloud products (Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure AD).
Oversee migration efforts and ensure best practices in cloud architecture.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with stakeholders across departments to assess infrastructure needs.
Translate technical requirements into business outcomes and vice versa.
Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
Operational Excellence
Ensure high availability and performance of all IT systems.
Oversee and continuously improve disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, policies, and procedures.
Key Qualifications:
Experience
7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles.
3+ years in a leadership or management position.
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise Microsoft 365 migrations (3000+ users preferred).
Proven project management success across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Technical Skills
Deep understanding of Microsoft cloud services (M365, Azure, Exchange Online).
Familiarity with virtualization, server administration, networking, and disaster recovery planning.
Experience in regulated or complex enterprise environments (e.g., healthcare) is a plus.

Preferred Certifications (not required but advantageous)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect
Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
ITIL Foundation
PMP or other project management certification
