About the Role
As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples and ensuring accurate specimen preparation for laboratory testing. You will work directly with patients, helping to build trust while providing safe, efficient, and compassionate service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture and capillary collections, including pediatric and geriatric patients
Accurately label, store, and document blood specimens
Verify patient identity and maintain proper documentation
Ensure all equipment is properly assembled and maintained
Follow established protocols for clinical and forensic collections
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
Provide outstanding service and clear communication to patients and team members
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent - Required
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience - Required
Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections - Required
At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center - Preferred
Phlebotomy certification - Preferred
Medical assistant or paramedic training - Preferred
Customer service or retail experience - Preferred
Proficient in data entry and patient documentation - Required
Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
Job Details
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
Pay Range: $18-$23/hr (Based on experience)
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
