Job Description
The primary role of the Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) is to support a safe work environment for contractors, employees, customers and the public by ensuring contractor supervision enforces all safety rules and OSHA regulations. The second role of the FCC is to be responsible for the daily work oversight of the construction contractor’s work for quality and conformance with our utility company client’s Engineering plans and specifications. The FCC is also responsible for the coordination of entities involved which may include engineering, grid management, material centers, distribution centers, other contractors and other utilities. The FCC is also responsible for reporting progress in the method required by our clients.
The skill requirements of the FCC include:
Understand specifications and ascertain facilities are built per specifications
Able to read and interpret civil, physical, structural, and alignment construction prints
Be able to communicate and work well with people
Possess good organizational skills
Be familiar with transmission equipment and construction techniques
Can interpret rebar sizes and proper methods of cage building
Understands Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) controls and proper installation
Comprehends and understands the sequencing of a project
Understanding of project schedules
Can verify proper elevations
Must be able to take Clearances/Holds/Reclosers (C/H/R)
Is familiar with OSHA rules and regulations pertinent to work inspecting
Interfaces well with all project stakeholders
Able to anticipate potential hazards
Good verbal and communications skills
Can perform all documentation requirements
Familiar with client’s FCC Manual and other requirements
Qualifications:
Educations High School or GED
Experience 8-10 Years
Specific Skills, Computer, Basic Electronics
Personal Characteristics, Leadership, Organized
