NOW CFO – Controller (Construction Focus)

Location: Medford, Oregon Salary: $110,000 – $120,000 DOE

NOW CFO is actively seeking a hands-on, operational Controller to join our consulting team and support clients in Southern Oregon and surrounding rural areas. As a Controller Consultant, you'll work directly with local business owners and leadership teams to manage day-to-day accounting operations, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making. Serve as the lead financial partner for construction and trade-related businesses

Manage all aspects of accounting: A/P, A/R, G/L, job costing, revenue recognition, and month-end close

Help businesses implement or improve internal controls and budgeting processes

Collaborate with owners and stakeholders to improve cash flow, reduce risk, and drive profitability

Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and state regulations

Tailor accounting processes to fit each client’s operations and systems

Support ERP transitions, sales tax filings, and process standardization when neededQualifications:

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA a plus)

CPA preferred but not required

5+ years of accounting leadership experience, ideally in construction or trades

Proven experience in cost accounting, job costing, and inventory management

Strong ERP knowledge and Excel skills

Experience with excise tax and sales tax is a bonus

Must be self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple client relationships

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
