Job Summary:
e are looking for an experienced Controller with a strong background in the construction industry to manage accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance. This role requires hands-on leadership in job costing, budgeting, and financial strategy while ensuring accuracy in all financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Manage financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations.
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decisions.
Perform job costing analysis and ensure accurate tracking of project expenses.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Manage cash flow, financial planning, and risk assessment.
Work closely with project managers, executives, and external auditors.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee audits.
Lead and mentor the accounting team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounting/finance, with a strong preference for construction industry experience.
Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, Procore, QuickBooks).
Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
