Description:
Lead accounting department in providing accurate, quality, and timely information and analysis of company operations that assists ALG team in decision-making. Manage tax, regulatory, and compliance reporting, administer employee benefits and human resources policies, and responsible for control and security of all company assets and inventory.
Fundamental Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
Design, develop, implement, and execute monthly and annual closing and reporting activities in accordance with GAAP and internal standards
Audit of balance sheet accounts to validate integrity of financial information
Prepare the company’s annual profit plan and perform variance analysis and reforecasting
Compile reporting as requested by company management, sales, and senior leadership
Systems and Software
Ownership over all aspects of the accounting modules and expert on the accounting impact from all operational modules within the company’s ERP system
Company expert for the human capital management software platform
Identify and deploy other systems and software solutions to gain efficiencies and bring structure to the accounting and finance areas
Control of Company Assets
Oversee all aspects of cash management and treasury functions
Manage customer credit and collection of accounts receivable
Verify accuracy of inventory through perpetual systems, cycle counting and full counting
Maintain capital asset documentation and depreciation
Accounting and Financial Policies
Design, document, implement and evolve best practices for accounting, credit, and finance
Accurate and timely execution of all accounting transactions
Maintain and evolve proper internal controls
Human Resources
Administrator of the company’s payroll and taxes through HCM software
Administer employee benefits and corporate human resources policies at the operating company level
Other Responsibilities
Lead, manage, train, and develop accounting department personnel
Responsive to ALG employees, customers, and vendors in a timely and appropriate manner
Project positive and professional behavior / attitude
Follow administrative procedures established for inter / intradepartmental interaction.

Education and certification requirements for qualified candidates include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Depth of knowledge in technical accounting concepts (CPA designation preferred)
Experience and skill requirements for qualified candidates include:
Demonstrated expertise in ERP and accounting systems
A high degree of Excel proficiency and comfort level with data manipulation
Three to five years of supervisory experience in a private company or in public financial accounting
Prior responsibility for preparation of financial reporting
Project management experience with implementing solutions and collaborating across departments to achieve desired outcomes
Have strong verbal and presentation skills
Compensation:
Compensation package will include a fixed base salary plus a variable component tied to annual performance objectives.
