Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Snowflake Data Engineer with at least 6 years of experience in database design, development, and data pipeline implementation. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake, strong SQL and Python skills, and a solid background in ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.

You will collaborate closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to design scalable data solutions that meet critical business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure database solutions using Snowflake.

Data Integration:

Develop and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources into Snowflake, leveraging Python scripts and stored procedures.

Data Modeling:

Create and maintain logical and physical data models to support analytics, reporting, and operational workflows.

Collaboration:

Partner with data analysts, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Performance Tuning:

Monitor database performance and make recommendations for optimization, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architectures, data flows, configurations, and technical processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in database development.

Strong working experience with Snowflake and at least one other cloud-based data platform (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery).

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SQL for complex query development and performance tuning.

Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration best practices.

Expertise in data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).

Experience building data pipelines using Python (including libraries such as Pandas, SQLAlchemy, or similar).

Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

Strong ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and innovate scalable data solutions.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, DBT, or AWS Glue.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Certifications in Snowflake or any cloud data engineering specialization.

Experience working in Agile environments.
