Hourly Pay Range:$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Hours: Monday-Friday, [hours and flexible work schedules]

Position Summary:

Under supervision, assist in identifying, recruiting and enrolling Spanish and English speaking patients for a PCORI study in the department of Ob/Gyn. Obtain consent, administer exams and questionnaires, enter computer data into files, abstract charts, assist in preparation of materials for presentation and publication. Be responsible and accountable for assessing, implementing and evaluating the delivery of subject/patient care while fulfilling the daily requirements of medical research protocols. Translate materials from English into Spanish as needed. The position maintains a collaborative relationship with Investigators, inter-departmental staff and other research staff.

What you will do:

Conduct literature searches for the development of study protocols and analyses

Maintain and file appropriate documentation with IRB and grant making agencies.

Assist in the development of all study forms, necessary database programs and data collection/entry strategies with senior staff

Read and understand the protocol and any other pertinent information for each scheduled study. Accountable for understanding and completing all protocol requirements.

Coordinate study requirements with other research personnel and adjust work schedule accordingly.

Communicate with other departments as needed to coordinate and conduct elements of research protocol

Accurately answer questions presented by participants or refer them to proper person/resource

Identify, recruit and enroll patients in clinical studies in both Spanish and English

Administer questionnaires in both Spanish and English

Maintain regular communication with study participants in both Spanish and English

Translate materials between English and Spanish

Abstract charts with attention to detail

Responsible for accurate study treatment administration per protocols and drug accountability.

Monitor and evaluate clinical parameters and document appropriately for safety and protocol completion.

Communicate all study/protocol deviations and adverse events to the PI or MD in a timely and efficient manner to ensure subject care and safety.

Document adverse events, subject care, subject behavior, and other appropriate information in required detail.

Monitor subject accrual and quality assurance

Maintain subject and sponsor confidentiality at all times.

Maintain accurate and organized documentation for each project

What you will need:

Bachelors Degree required

Previous experience in a research role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting, is preferred.

Fluent in Spanish, preferred
