Maintenance Technician

Peerless Saw is a 100% employee-owned manufacturing company celebrating 94 years in business. We are searching for a dependable, initiative-taking, mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician with a Strong Mechanical Aptitude to join our team in a manufacturing environment located in Groveport, Ohio.

This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to keeping our production equipment operating efficiently and safely. Hours are an 8-hour shift, working Monday - Friday 3 pm-11 pm and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.

Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used.

Respond quickly to production equipment issues to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with production to improve equipment reliability.

Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related field.

Strong mechanical aptitude: ability to disassemble, diagnose, and repair mechanical components.

Familiarity with tools such as calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and power tools.

Basic understanding of electrical and control systems is a plus but not required.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Good communication and documentation skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
