Because we are looking for an IT Manager!

The IT Manager functions as Business Manager for the technology department, to ensure all areas of the hotel are supported with proper computer systems in accordance with the brand standards of the hotel and company. This role will oversee the Hyatt Regency Columbus as well as the Hyatt Regency Cleveland. The position involves traveling to Cleveland once a month for a period of 2-3 days, longer if required for a project or installation. Please note this role does not oversee other IT personnel or teams and will function independently with support offered by members of the finance department or remote help desk in their absence.

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the PC’s, servers, and all related IT peripherals. Key responsibilities include installation and support of workstations, servers, and network devices, LAN maintenance, project implementation, user access management, adherence with all PCI-DSS requirements and assisting staff on all IT related functions, including training from a perspective of caring for our people so they can be their best.

What does the ROLE entail?

The successful candidate should have strong IT and time management skills and be a self-starter

Maintain accurate hardware and software inventories

Ensure appropriate system accesses; process requests in a timely manner

Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Resolve day-to-day IT issues to ensure optimal technology performance

Maintain a secure IT environment by ensuring operating system, software and hardware updates are installed and vulnerabilities are addressed

Establish, implement and monitor local & corporate IT policies and procedures

Review IT related service contracts and invoices and make suggestions for improvement and ensure vendor compliance

Provide IT oversight for all 3rd party contractors utilizing Hyatt IT and/or networking resources

Comply with corporate, governmental and technological audits and compliances (IT MOR/PRA, SOX, PCI, owner’s audits, etc.)

Professional demeanor, attention to detail, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must

Manage IT projects in a manner that maximizes reliability and minimizes downtime and/or operational impacts

Your EXPERIENCE:

Successful candidates will have strong leadership, professionalism, interpersonal and communication skills and a minimum of two years with WAN/LAN infrastructure and property management systems.

Preferred Candidates will have a background in hotels or large office facilities

3 to 5 years IT help desk or similar system support experience

Reliable track record for seeing projects through to completion

Proven ability to handle a large workload with minimal guest disruption
