Superintendent (Mechanical / Sheet Metal / Plumbing / HVAC)

Position Summary:

The Superintendent oversees change-outs, retrofits, and installations for complex projects, supervising the daily work of mechanics, apprentices, and helpers. This role ensures that all services meet contractual agreements and budget objectives.

Requirements:

5+ years of industry experience, including supervisory experience

In-depth knowledge of International Codes, HVAC, and plumbing systems

OSHA 30-hour certification, knowledge of OSHA safety regulations

Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)

Experience handling personnel issues

Mechanical, administrative, and analytical skills

Proficient with technology (computer, tablet, smartphone, Microsoft Teams, Procore, BIM)

Job Responsibilities:

Inspect work in progress and completed work for compliance with specifications

Supervise and coordinate assigned trade/craft workers

Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders for installations

Review and release shop drawings for timely installation

Teach and coach teammates to ensure safety and productivity

Monitor manpower and tools, oversee inventory activities

Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage project budgets
