Our client, a major player in sustainable steel making, is launching a greenfield facility, leveraging cutting-edge biomass technology to produce clean carbon solutions for steel production. We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to play a key role from ground-up design through long-term operations.
Responsibilities:
Take part in the core engineering team leading the design, procurement, and build out of a state-of-the-art facility.
Engineer and implement electrical systems for major plant projects - from high-voltage distribution (up to 345kV) to equipment-level power.
Oversee instrumentation, PLCs, and HMIs, integrating control systems to optimize performance.
Lead or support the hiring, training, and supervision of electrical maintenance staff.
Develop preventative maintenance programs to ensure reliability and safety.
Manage capital upgrades and plan plant shutdowns or construction events.
Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering or BSEET
Hands on field engineering experience - in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, switch gear, protective relaying, PLCs and HMI
Ability to lead contractors on large-scale capital projects.
