Theyâ re looking for a dependable and professional Collections Specialist to temporarily join their Accounting team and cover a maternity leave through mid-September.

What Youâ ll Do:

Reach out to customers (primarily schools) via phone and email regarding past-due balances

Maintain a professional, calm, and solutions-oriented tone in all communications

Coordinate payment plans and follow up as needed

Investigate billing issues and escalate when necessary

Monitor aging accounts and take timely action to ensure collections targets are met

Print and send invoices, correct billing errors, and prepare payment vouchers

Maintain accurate reports on unpaid accounts and repayment progress

Collaborate with internal teams and direct customers to appropriate contacts when needed

Assist with general accounting tasks as required

What You Bring:

1+ year of collections experience (B2B preferred)

Intermediate Excel skills and confidence navigating Microsoft Office Suite

Professional written and phone communication skillsâ this is a soft collections role

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines

Ability to start quickly and commit through mid-September

Must be able to pass a credit check
