Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Professional CNC Mill Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Mill Programmer will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs to control the operation of CNC milling machines. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in CNC machining, proficiency in CAM software, and a keen eye for detail to ensure precision and quality in the manufactured parts. Our Shop uses GibbsCam, Solidworks Premium, SolidCam, and VX Elements. I would add Software for the right person whether they need MasterCam or Fusion360 as long as they were ultra proficient with that software. It is imperative that you are both a Programmer and Machinist that is highly proficient. An ideal candidate will require little to no supervision, and wants to help change how machining is done currently. We are looking for someone who wants to help grow the company and be apart of a team.
Job Duties:
Develop CNC programs for milling operations based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components.
Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for machining processes.
Perform tool offsets, tool changes, and machine adjustments to maintain part quality.
Conduct in-process inspections and implement quality control measures to meet tolerance requirements.
Optimize CNC programs for efficiency, tool life, and cycle time reduction.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve machining processes.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
Document work instructions, tooling setups, and program changes for future reference.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in CNC machining.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining is a plus.
Proven experience as a CNC Mill Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, or similar) for CNC programming.
Strong knowledge of G-code programming and CNC machining principles.
Familiarity with a variety of CNC milling machines and tooling.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.Company Description
