What You’ll Do
Participate with dedication in Atlas' Teaching Fellow program
Teaching Fellows are new to education and desire intentional learning, observation, and practice that will allow them to excel within their own classroom after their first year.
Teach under the guidance of exemplary teachers and instructional coaches
Receive, retain, and apply feedback and guidance given from various coaching parties
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students
Help to guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the assigned lesson plan(s)
Develop meaningful relationships with students and make a tangible impact on the minds' and lives' of students
Maintain a neat and orderly classroom
Ensure that students are never left unattended in the classroom
Be knowledgeable in the procedures for referring students with disciplinary problems
Perform other related duties as assigned
Compensation & Schedule
Salaried/Exempt
Signing Bonus: $1,000
Annual Salary*: $36,750
Full Time; Monday – Friday; Occasional evenings and weekends as needed

Qualifications
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of successful professional experience
Possess a sincere desire to become a full-time teacher with Atlas
Ability to pass required background screening pursuant to CRS § 22-30.5-110.7
Possess a growth mindset that values feedback and is able to successfully implement such information
Be 100% committed to the Atlas mission and educational equity
Demonstrated maturity, humility, self-reflection, and a strong work ethic
Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in the face of competing demands and external pressures
Desired Qualifications
Bilingual: Spanish & English
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Education) or in active pursuit of a Bachelor's degree
Prior teaching experience with low-income communities
Essential Job Functions
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed
Must be able to abide by all policies and procedures of Atlas
