Manual Machinist

Title: Manual Machinist - 2nd Shift (4:20 pm - 12:30 am M-F)

Location: Cary, IL

Hire Type: Contract to Hire

Salary: $28-33/hrly

Responsibilities:

Operate manual tool room equipment

Perform custom and repair machining of plant related equipment (builds/rebuilds machinery)

Troubleshoot high spped assembly equipment, and produce spare parts for assembly equipment

Must be able to read mechanical blueprints

Perform calibrations, must be able to machine parts to close tolerances 0005) using conventional tool room equipment (mill, drill press, chop saw, lathe, surface grinder, push and pull broaches)

Cut, shape and fabricate tools

Regularly clean and maintain machinery

Requirements:

HS Diploma/GED

Must be able to machine parts to close tolerances 0005) using convential tool room equipment

CNC Mill/Lathe operation and/or set up experience preferred

Must have general machinist hand tools (micrometers, calipers, indicator, edge finder, square, scale, wrenches, screwdrivers, toolbox)
