Position Overview
The Web Designer I is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining WordPress websites that are visually compelling, mobile-optimized, and performance-driven. This role requires a balance of design sensibility, technical expertise, and user experience intuition. Key Responsibilities & Expectations Website Design & Development
Design, build, and maintain client websites using WordPress themes, builders (Elementor Pro, Divi), and custom CSS/HTML as needed
Ensure websites are visually appealing, accessible, mobile-responsive, and SEO-ready
Maintain brand consistency and apply UX/UI best practices throughout development
Collaborate with graphic designers and developers to integrate visual assets and technical functionality
Conduct regular audits of client websites to ensure performance, security, and consistency
Assist with implementing campaign landing pages or microsites as needed
Support email marketing and digital asset creation as it relates to web content
Client Collaboration & Campaign Support
Participate in client meetings to understand goals, provide updates, and gather feedback
Translate client needs into user-centric web solutions aligned with business objectives
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
Track and analyze website metrics to measure effectiveness
Recommend improvements to enhance user experience, site speed, and engagement
Project & Time Management
Manage multiple website projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality
Maintain clear documentation of website build processes and version history

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field
Experience in website design/development (agency experience preferred)
Proficiency with WordPress, HTML/CSS, and responsive design principles
Experience with Elementor Pro or other major WordPress page builders
Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices and SEO fundamentals
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
