Job Opportunity: Thoracic Surgeon in Columbus, OH

The Mount Carmel Health System, located in vibrant Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an experienced, dedicated BC/BE Thoracic Surgeon to lead a growing program in response to increasing demand. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established healthcare system known for its commitment to quality patient care and community service. Job Responsibilities:

Develop and grow the thoracic surgery program due to increasing demand.

Provide both inpatient and outpatient care with a mixture of surgical cases and outpatient visits.

Collaborate with a dedicated team including 18 pulmonary/critical care physicians and support from an APP team.

Lead consultations and participate in a Multi-Disciplinary Tumor Board.

Maintain proper documentation utilizing the EPIC EMR system.

Participate in a weekend call rotation (1:4 ratio).

Contribute actively to patient-centered, team-based care.

Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years of eligibility) in Thoracic Surgery.

Fellowship-trained in Thoracic Surgery.

Ohio medical license (or willingness to obtain).

ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).

DEA registration (or ability to obtain).

Clean malpractice and license history.

Must not require visa support (J1 or H1B).

Not open to candidates who apply directly or require 1099 arrangements.

Willingness to commit to full-time, on-site responsibilities without seeking part-time or commuting arrangements. License and Certification Requirements:

Board Certification in Thoracic Surgery (preferred).

Fellowship-trained in Thoracic Surgery.

Active Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain.

ACLS certification (required).

DEA registration (required).

Clean malpractice and license history.
