Engineer - Kapco Grafton, WI As an Estimation Engineer for Kapco, you
will analyze blueprints, specification, proposals, and other
documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for production,
projects or services. The ideal candidate for this position should have
manufacturing engineering knowledge of sheet metal/metal stamping and
welding. Has experience in high volume manufacturing operations,
including assembly techniques, process control and materials. Knowledge
of manufacturing productions and material control software systems is
preferred. This candidate should possess an advanced degree in
manufacturing engineering, business or similar discipline. In lieu of a
degree, 1 to 3 years of experience estimating or managing in
manufacturing is acceptable. The ideal candidate for this position would
be able to do the following: Interprets engineering documents such as
drawings, technical manuals and technical specifications. Examines
documents (blueprints, drawings, change orders and specifications) and
verifies completeness and accuracy of data. Confers with document
originators and technical experts, and/or customer's engineering
liaison personnel. Resolves discrepancies and implements required
changes. Serves as a customer liaison and reports customer concerns.
Determines cost of producing products and provides quote information for
customers. Investigates problems and initiates effective measures for a
solution. Maintains an awareness of developments and technologies in the
area of manufacturing techniques, assembly processes and material
control. Participates on improvement teams, as needed. Other duties as
