We are currently representing a growing general contractor seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of DSA, Public Works, and Commercial construction projects, including ground-up developments, renovations, and tenant improvements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction coordination, with the ability to manage project documentation, assist in subcontractor oversight, and ensure timely, on-budget delivery. Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing DSA, public sector, and commercial projects from start to finish

Support Project Manager in achieving schedule, budget, quality, and safety goals

Prepare and manage project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts

Maintain project schedules, track milestones, and update project timelines

Coordinate subcontractor activities and procurement of long-lead materials

Monitor budgets and support cost tracking and reporting

Foster collaboration with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors

Ensure adherence to DSA standards, public agency regulations, and company protocols

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in construction project coordination or assistant project management

Experience with DSA, Public Works, and Commercial construction strongly preferred

Familiarity with Procore and Microsoft Project is required

Strong understanding of construction sequencing, budgeting, and document control

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment

Knowledge of local codes and public agency compliance standards

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
