Team Lead Process Tech - Plastic Injection Molding

1st Shift: 630AM 3PM Position Summary: The Team Leader will be responsible for daily molding operations, the efficient production of quality parts.

The Team Leader will direct all Set-ups for the team and enforce all Company policies and procedures.

Key Tasks: Organize shift startup.

Supervise all molding personnel in the performance of their duties for the team.

Monitor Production monitoring software system for productivity, cycle times, and correct part counts.

Inspect all set-ups to verify proper set-ups are completed prior to start up.

Update shift supervisor and the Maintenance Department of any problems or concerns.

Conduct a complete shift turnover with other Shift teams.

Troubleshoot problem molds and machines.

Make regular periodic inspection rounds of injection molding presses as assigned.

Verify that each assigned press has the correct Bill of Materials and correct tickets.

Visually inspect parts for rejects, make dimensional checks as needed.

Assure packaging and labeling is completed as per Bill of Materials and stamp for quality approval as needed.

Maintain accurate documentation of all quality issues that occur on assigned shift.

Address personnel issues and forward concerns to Shift Supervisor as needed.

Inspect all material equipment and material tags.

Must understand 5-S and Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Ensure cleanliness and order in work area.

Use 5-S suggestion form for set-up, process, and other improvements.

Perform as Shift Supervisor as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Must have knowledge of all aspects of plastic injection molding methods, processes, and procedures.

Attention to Detail Must have great interpersonal skills.

Must be able to work independently.

Strong problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks Ability to take direction from Supervisors/Manager Must be able to sit, walk, or stand, for eight hours.

Ability to lift up to 70lbs Preferred Qualifications: Computer Literacy Previous Team Lead experience
