Job Description:
L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking a Lead Training Developer to join the Cost Engineering and Analytics Department (CEAD) within the Systems Engineering organization) and develop parametric cost modeling product lines to enable parametric bidding in our various business units. CEAD’s mission is to provide robust, efficient cost engineering and analytics to key decision makers throughout the opportunity and program life cycle. Successful candidate will work with subject matter experts to develop/deliver technical training for cost estimating and analytics. This position requires attention to detail and follow-up on all delegated assignments. Partner with engineering teams, relevant team members, and customer representatives to define the priorities for curriculum/courseware development and to coordinate completion with product release dates. Develop training presentations and lesson plans from engineering documentation, compliance and industry requirements, application capabilities, and interviews with subject matter experts. Organize and streamline course materials that ensure participants have a solid understanding of the business systems, tools, and the skills needed to operate or maintain their systems in their day-to-day responsibilities. Must be able to deliver course materials in a formal classroom setting or virtual environment. CEAD’s vision is to become a world class, centralized cost engineering and analytics organization supporting L3Harris SAS growth to become a top tier Prime exemplified by fully collaborative and cross-segment alignment with respect to parametric cost estimating. As a member of the CEAD Product Line Development Team, you will have the responsibility to interface with multiple business areas, understand their product, and work within our parametric modeling framework to deliver a tracible and reliable process for future parametric bids. This position may be based at any L3Harris location, may be fully remote, or may be a hybrid of on-site and remote. Occasional travel is required.
Essential Functions:
Works under general supervision and will be responsible for the task leadership of one or more key focus areas to include the daily oversight of courseware development activities and interfacing with the integrated project team and customer.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers
Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized. Problems are typically solved through advanced education or past experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and deliver complex topics
Some travel required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering or related field) and minimum 9 years, or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years, of prior relevant experience in process management, training and cost estimating. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in process management, training and cost estimating
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
5+ years experience in training development and delivery in a technical environment
Professional experience implementing training programs using an instructional design methodology
Experience in cost estimation and analytics
Experience delivering Instructor-Led Training
Experience working with security and compliance regulations
Experience with TruePlanning cost estimating software
Preferred Additional Skills:
Active security clearance is highly preferred
Experience with operational knowledge of pursuit and proposal phases and program lifecycles.
Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of applications

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $86,000.00 - $159,500.00. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $98,500.00 - $182,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
